The new Maryland Native Plant Guide for the Piedmont Region is now available to the public. As a part of the new Maryland Native Plants Program, the first of three planned guidebooks highlights native plant landscaping in the swath of Maryland ranging from the northernmost tip of the Chesapeake Bay and stretching southwest to include Baltimore, Howard and Montgomery counties, known as the Piedmont region between the coastal plains and Maryland's mountain region to the west.

Hard copies will be available for purchase for $10+S&H, if applicable, at the Maryland Native Plant Society's online store, select Master Gardener events, and participating retailers starting November 2025. Guides for the Coastal Plain and Mountain regions are planned for 2026 and 2027, respectively. We hope this guide will inform, inspire, and move you to go native!
