The Carroll County 4-H Program has a large interest in their animal science programs. Each species offer a variety of opportunities to participate in activities throughout the year.

Poultry Registration Form - You must complete a Poultry Registration Form, which can be found at the Carroll County Extension Office or below. This Poultry Registration form must be turned into the Carroll County Extension Office (date will be published in the Tribune). All 4-H members and their parents must sign the front of the poultry form, along with signing the Animal Science Code of Ethics on the reserve side.

Poultry Orientation - The Carroll County 4-H/FFA Fair Poultry Committee will host multiple Poultry Orientations at the Extension Office. This event will offer a variety of education programs to help families better understand the requirements of the poultry project. You MUST attend one of these orientations to be eligible to exhibit at the Carroll County 4-H/FFA Fair.

Carroll County 4-H/FFA Fair - For more information on the rules and regulations of the Carroll County 4-H Poultry Shows, please go to www.carrollcountyfair.com. Each department will have their set of rules/regulations for this year’s fair posted.

Additional Opportunities - Starting in June the Poultry Judging program normally starts at the Carroll County Extension Office. 4-H members have the opportunity to learn more about judging poultry, parts and eggs. Throughout the summer you will spend time learning how to evaluate all things dealing with poultry and learn how to defend your reasoning’s on your placings. This is an opportunity to learn how to evaluate poultry, which in return will help you in selecting your next project animals.
