The Agricultural History Farm Park
The Extension Office for Montgomery County is located in Derwood, Maryland, on the Magruder-Bussard farmstead grounds, a 455-acre Agricultural History Farm Park. Managed by Montgomery Parks, past farming practices are shared with the public through a historic farmhouse, barn, and other preserved farm buildings.
More information is available on the Montgomery Parks Website
The park also hosts several annual events, including Harvest Days in October. Visitors are welcome to explore the outdoor grounds, and many events are made possible through the support of volunteers from the Friends of the Agricultural History Farm Park.
