Building Financial Capability and Resilience

The University of Maryland Extension Financial Wellness Team provides a wide range of personal finance education and resources for building financial capability and resilience. Our experts build programs for young people and adults, directly and in collaboration with community organizations.

We emphasize financial well-being for the citizens of Maryland and beyond, helping develop skills and confidence in:

  • tracking and progressing toward financial goals
  • meeting current and future financial needs
  • feeling financially secure
  • having the financial freedom to make choices that make life enjoyable

The Financial Wellness Team offers series of sessions in personal financial management, single-topic workshops for all ages and life stages, youth money camps and out-of-school programs, mentor and volunteer training, and professional development for financial professionals.
