- UMES Traveling Agritourism Workshop. Monday, June 10, 2024. 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $50. The bus will depart from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore 30690 University Blvd S. - Salinity-Affected Lands in Transition Conference. June 11 and 12, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in Cam-bridge, Md. This two-day conference focused on saltwater intrusion and sea level rise in coastal agroeco-systems. $175. This conference highlights research being conducted by the University of Maryland (UMD) Agroecology Lab, the University of Delaware (UD) and George Washington University (GWU) on the Delmarva Peninsula. - Women in Ag Webinars: Setting Up a Farm Chart of Accounts. July 9, 2024. Virtual Noon—1:00 p.m. A chart of accounts is the base of all financial record keeping. It is an organized classification of transactions within the business. It makes managing finances easier, categorizing transactions, and understanding. - CMREC 2024 Field Crops Research Twilight, Barbecue & Ice Cream Social. Aug 7, 2024. 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Central Maryland Research & Education Center, (2005 Largo Road, Upper Marlboro, MD). A barbecue dinner will be served at 4:00 pm followed by homemade ice cream prior to the evening tour.
