The fair has traditionally played an important part in the lives of 4-H youth across Maryland. The opportunity for 4-H youth to share what they have learned and to demonstrate mastery of skills related to their 4-H project work is an important part of both the fair experience and the 4-H experience. The current pandemic has challenged fair organizers with regards to the feasibility of conducting fairs in the traditional way.
