Homemade Hummus

Ingredients:

1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup cold water
Fresh vegetables, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
Whole grain pita chips or crackers

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine garbanzo beans, garlic, lemon juice, salt, oil and water.
  2. Blend on low speed until smooth.
  3. Refrigerate.
