Some other tips:

  • Plan ahead! Same day delivery may not always be available
  • Have another form of payment handy for non-SNAP eligible items, taxes, tips, and fees
  • Some stores will waive the delivery fee if you meet their minimum order requirement
  • You can add notes to your online order if you have certain food preferences or to indicate food substitutions if the store is out of stock of certain items
  • Compare unit prices of canned, fresh, and frozen fruits and vegetables to get the best deal
  • Save money on fresh produce by purchasing seasonal fruits and vegetables - apples, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and winter squash are all in season right now!
  • Stretch your food dollars! For example, you can get more carrots per dollar when you buy whole carrots instead of baby carrots
