Washington County Master Gardener Program

Through the University of Maryland Extension's Environment and Natural Resources (ENR), the Master Gardener Program educates residents on safe, effective, and sustainable horticultural practices that build healthy gardens, landscapes, and communities. Washington County Extension ENR agents and Master Gardener volunteers offer online and in-person classes to grow your gardening knowledge, as well as educational talks and displays at events throughout the year. Master Gardeners are volunteer representatives of the University of Maryland trained to educate citizens about effective, sustainable horticultural practices. Master Gardeners offer landscaping problem-solving through demonstration projects, partnerships with other organizations, and public outreach activities.

UME Master Gardener Program

Grow your gardening know-how with our Washington County Master Gardener workshop series. Learn how to garden smarter, help the environment, and save time and money.

Workshops will be held from 9 to 11:00 a.m. and will combine classroom teaching with hands-on learning in our demonstration garden.
