The Extension Advisory Committee (EAC) is required for recipients of Federal financial assistance and plays an integral role in UME program planning. Our County/Baltimore EAC is comprised of a wide range of professionals, community leaders, and other key stakeholders with a vested interest in UME, who are dedicated to advising program development, assisting with outreach efforts, fundamental advocacy and identifying community needs. Their input aids UME faculty and staff with overall advisory services to support program determination; such members have a personal interest in community development and reflect the needs of audiences that can be addressed by UME. Our EAC members represent various partnerships and institutions, bringing their expertise, resources, and perspectives to support UME's mission. Their contributions ensure that programs and strategies are reflective of the community, relevant to community needs, and impactful. EAC members are selected in accordance with our university’s nondiscrimination policy without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, religion, protected veteran status, genetic information, personal appearance, or any other legally protected class.
