UME Natural Resources specialist Daniel Pratson

Daniel Pratson has joined UME as a Natural Resources specialist with statewide duties. He recently finished his Ph.D. in Natural Resources at the University of Vermont; he also has degrees from Virginia Tech (M.S. in Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation) and St. Mary’s College of Maryland (B.A. in Environmental Studies). Daniel has enjoyed teaching and researching different aspects of environmental and social science throughout his career so far and is excited to work with stakeholders across Maryland. Between stints in graduate school, Daniel has worked both as a water quality lab technician and a high school science teacher. He thoroughly enjoys his new role as a father, running and biking outdoors, sailing, and playing music.
