Last spring, Maryland SNAP-Ed announced the Eat Your Words campaign. Families at participating sites across Maryland received the book Sylvia’s Spinach by Katherine Pryor. But it didn’t end there: throughout the summer, families were invited to participate in events that encouraged them to grow, shop for, and try fresh healthy foods, just like Sylvia.

Watch the video below to see how families across Maryland joined in the fun!

As summer turns toward fall, and students return to school, let’s bring the spirit of Eat Your Words with us, and make it a year of trying something new!
