Psst…want to know a Secret?
Maryland SNAP-Ed wrote a book! In a few short weeks, families across Maryland will be invited to read the storybook The Secret to an Extraordinary Day. Students at schools that partner with SNAP-Ed will receive a printed copy of the book to read with their family. Everyone can join in the fun by reading the book online.
The book tells the story of a family with a case of the summer blues. They are feeling bored and gloomy. But one day they find a mysterious note that leads them on an unexpected adventure. Along the way they discover an easy way to add excitement to any ordinary day.
Do you have a guess? What do you think is the secret to an extraordinary day? (Hint: it’s not sitting still!)
We’ll announce the release of the book in a blog post and on social media in late April. We’ll share a link to read the book, as well as a website with fun activities for your family to do together.
