Baltimore County Master Gardener Program 

The University of Maryland Extension's Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) program delivers research-based education and technical assistance to help individuals, communities, and organizations conserve and responsibly manage Maryland's natural resources. 

The Baltimore County Extension Master Gardener (BCMG) program aims to educate Maryland residents about safe, effective, sustainable horticultural practices that build healthy gardens, landscapes, and communities. UME Baltimore County also offers a range of additional ENR programming in home gardening, sustainable landscaping, and environmental conservation. About the Master Gardener Program

Master Gardeners are volunteer representatives of the University of Maryland who are trained to educate citizens about effective and sustainable horticultural practices. Master Gardeners offer landscaping problem-solving through demonstration projects, partnerships with other organizations, and public outreach activities. Bay-Wise Program

Every Marylander lives in a watershed and has a role in caring for the land, water, air, wildlife, and each other. Every action we take, every small positive change we make to improve water quality, soil health, and habitat counts in a big way.

Garden Seminar Information & Registration

Master Gardener seminars are held on Saturdays from 10 am to 11 am in the Demonstration Gardens. 

There is no charge to attend, but please register!

Location: The gardens are located on the Maryland Center for Agriculture and Farm Park property at 1114 Shawan Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030.

The Demonstration Gardens of the Baltimore County Master Gardeners are located on the grounds of the Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park, 1114 Shawan Road, Cockeysville, Maryland 21030.

The gardens are open from sunup to sundown, and admission is free! Take some time out of your busy life to visit this amazing public space. If you have questions about the gardens, please call 410-887-8090.

Master Gardeners Speakers Bureau

Baltimore County Master Gardeners are available to speak on a variety of topics for garden clubs, churches, businesses, or community organizations.
