Linthicum Walks Native Plant Garden
Updated: June 23, 2025

Historic Linthicum Walks

in Gambrills/Crofton, Maryland, is owned and managed by Friends of Historic Linthicum Walks.  The University of Maryland Extension, Anne Arundel County Master Gardener (AAMG) program maintains three demonstration garden beds on the site with over 50 native and non-native, pollinator friendly plant species.  Browse our inventory below for plants you can grow in your own yard.

Goals

The goals of the AAMG Linthicum Walks gardens are to demonstrate sustainable gardening practices, support pollinators and native plants, and contribute to the health of our local environment.  Master Gardeners tend the garden throughout the seasons and provide environmental education by labeling the plants, offering a gardening information bulletin board, and providing tours.

Monarch Waystation

This site is also a registered Monarch Waystation, which means the garden beds provide resources that monarch butterflies need to sustain their annual migration and reproduce.  To add your yard to the Monarch waystation program, visit their website: monarchwatch.org/waystations.
