Wastewater Treatment Demonstration Facility
Central Maryland Research and Education Center (CMREC) - Clarksville, Maryland
The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Maryland Onsite Wastewater Professional Association (MOWPA) have begun development of a facility intended to demonstrate technology and provide education and training on onsite wastewater treatment, or septic systems.
This two-acre site will present unique opportunities for homeowners and various professionals to experience a variety of wastewater treatment technologies including: conventional septic systems, waste water dispersal methods, advanced treatment or best available technology (BAT) systems, demonstration of system landscaping practices, and well technology and protection practices.
