footbath

1. Wear appropriate footwear. Avoid wearing shoes that expose skin to the disinfectant. Plastic or rubber overshoes are strongly recommended. Provide overshoes at footbath for visitors and regular users.

2. Remove all debris from footwear before placing feet into footbath. (can be done by scrubbing shoes with a scrub brush or hosing off shoes) Be sure to remove ALL debris. Debris on shoes reduces the effectiveness of the disinfectant.

3. Immerse whole tread (bottom) of shoe into the disinfectant. Rub shoes vigorously on mat to ensure entire sole has been scrubbed. Use the long handled brush to reach portions of shoes that are not submerged in the disinfectant. Wash whole boot thoroughly with disinfectant solution.

4. When you step out of footbath, leave disinfectant on shoes.
