Wicomico County’s Food Supplement Nutrition Education (FSNE) offers nutrition education programs to help Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) households and those eligible for SNAP. FSNE provides nutrition education to help low income individuals and families make healthy food choices; develop cooking skills; handle food safely; improve food shopping skills and increase their physical activity.
Many materials are available in both English and Spanish.
FSNE works with organizations in these five areas, striving to provide lasting nutrition and physical activity messages that positively affect the participants, their families, and the wider community.
FSNE is funded by the USDA in cooperation with the Maryland Department of Human Resources, the University of Maryland, University of Maryland Extension, and COMMUNITY AGENCIES SUCH AS YOURS!
