Adult Education Theory

Agricultural Service Providers (anyone who gives advice to farmers as part of their job) know how farmers can improve their operations while avoiding common pitfalls, but they don't always know the best way to communicate this knowledge. This page offers information on several techniques to change farmers' knowledge, attitudes, skills, and aspirations related to soil health and other ag practices, all leading to real improvements in a farm's triple bottom line (profit, planet, and people). These techniques include brain-based learning, story telling, and motivating continued engagement in educational programs.
