Intermediate Grape Grower Workshop Presentations

The Intermediate Grape Grower Workshop is held yearly during the month of March or April.  This course continues where the New Grower Workshops left off, offering a detailed description of viticultural practices for commercial vineyards. Topics will include managing and following vineyard expenses, canopy management (including pruning, shoot thinning, and vine training), crop management (including estimation, cluster thinning, and sampling), vineyard floor management (including herbicides), making harvest decisions, and of course, pest management (equipment, insects, and diseases). This workshop is a good overview of what is involved in producing high quality fruit in Maryland.
