Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP)

Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) provides free nutrition education workshops to limited incomes families and youth and pregnant teens living in Baltimore City. A series of interactive and culturally appropriate workshops are facilitated to groups by Nutrition Assistants trained in nutrition concepts and community-based education.

FCS - Financial Education

University of Maryland Extension (UME) provides community education classes and resources to youth and adults through seminars, group training, train-the-trainer and workshops in the following skill areas: • Personal Budgeting (Income, Spending, and Saving) • Credit/Debt Management • Identity Theft • Financial Management Technology using Microsoft Excel

Urban Agriculture

The Urban Agriculture Department of University of Maryland Extension-Baltimore City strives to provide the most current research-supported methods for growing food, ornamentals, environmentally friendly, and native plants in Baltimore City.
