Grows from 1 - 3 ft. tall; leaves hairy with toothed margins, lower ones ovate, upper more lanceolate; stems hairy, branching at the top


Reproduces by seed; aster-like 1/2 - 1 in. flower heads with 40-60 white to pale pink ray petals, surrounding yellow disk flowers

Conditions that favor growth

Dry open areas; roadsides

Cultural control

Cultivate area and plant with some type of ground cover or grass that can be mowed regularly to keep flowers and seeds from forming.
