Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences for Queen Anne's County!

The mission of University of Maryland Extension (UME) to take scientific knowledge out to all Maryland citizens of all ages and help to improve the economic stability, quality of life and community, and resiliency of the environment thrives in Queen Anne's County.

Healthy Living is achieved through adopting best practices in food, nutrition, financial, and mental wellness and FCS educators help Marylanders transition their behaviors to reach a goal of overall improved health.

How can the youngest members of your household participate in setting the table, serving, cleaning up, and basic cooking?

Would you like to try a new recipe using up some canned pumpkin or applesauce from your pantry?

What do expiration dates mean on food packaging?

Where can I find resources for emerging mental and emotional health challenges my family is experiencing?

These questions and many more are answered through Extension's Ask An Expert or a telephone call or email to educators able to serve you.

In a targeted effort to create and foster a culture of innovation that anticipates and responds to emerging needs of Queen Anne's County residents, please explore the links and special programs featured below:
