Calling all wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts! The Maryland 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP) Contest will be held at the Patuxent River 4-H Center in Upper Marlboro, MD on Saturday, May 3rd from 9:30AM until approximately 2:30PM.  WHEP provides an opportunity for youth in all 4-H age divisions to test their skills in wildlife identification, apply their knowledge of ecological concepts, and learn more about wildlife management.

There will be awards in each age division and the top scorers in the senior division may have the opportunity to represent Maryland 4-H at the National WHEP Contest.  Lunch will be included with the cost of registration for participants and will be available for purchase by non-participants.  There will be a hike and wildlife activities for Junior participants.  Anyone with an interest in wildlife & the outdoors is encouraged to come, compete, and learn!
