The Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional Certification [2] (CBLP) is a voluntary credential for professionals who design, install, and maintain sustainable landscapes in the Bay watershed.
Organizing partners for CBLP are the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council [3], University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension Program [4], VA Department of Game and Inland Fisheries - Virginia Habitat Partners© [5] and Wetlands Watch [6].
CBLP offers two levels of training and certification: Level 1 is a baseline credential in design, installation, and maintenance of sustainable landscapes, with emphasis on how to properly maintain stormwater best management practices.
Level 2 is an advanced credential in design or installation of conservation landscapes and small, residential-scale stormwater practices. Graduates of Level 1 whose business demonstrates prior experience in design/install are encouraged to continue to Level 2.
Our Landscape Professional Directory [7] is available to search for a CBLP Professional in your area.
