Winter is a great time to try growing microgreens! What are microgreens? –leafy green veggies that are allowed to grow only 2-3 inches in height and are then harvested. Stem, cotyledons, and emerging true leaves are harvested. 7-21 days

Lettuce, arugula, mustards, and Asian greens will grow inside at a sunny window, other microgreens may need a grow light for reliable harvest. Most microgreens are cool season crops and can be grown outdoors with production starting in early spring and continuing to May.
