Farm to Table Marketing

Are you a small livestock farmer in Maryland wanting to capitalize your urban location and strong demand for locally produced meats? If so, this web module, Farm to Table Marketing Model for Small Farm Meat Producers, was created specifically for you. This module delivers educational materials developed for several training sessions by educators and professionals who are highly knowledgeable and who are presently engaged in Farm-to-Table production and marketing.

Through these training sessions, a total of four workshops and one-on-one consultations, Maryland's farm-raised meat producers will have an opportunity to expand their knowledge and tools for making informed decisions about:

  • Product development - production and processing;
  • Selecting the best marketing venues for their products
  • Drastically shortening the learning curve on strategies for farm-to-table sales; and,
  • How to avoid regulatory and food safety compliance problems that may be costly and perhaps even detrimental to the farm's operations.
