What is EFNEP?
EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) is funded by the USDA/ National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) [1] and the University of Maryland’s Department of Nutrition and Food Scienc [2]e, and the University of Maryland Extension (UME) [3]. The major goals of EFNEP are to help limited-income families and youth acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes, and behavior changes necessary for health/wellness and prevention.
