Keeping Clean

As soon as you walk through your door you begin tracking dirt into the house. Your shoes could be bringing in lead dust, pollen, pesticides, insect fragments, and many more contaminants. The first four steps you take inside bring in close to 85% of the outdoor contaminants found indoors. A clean home means less exposure to contaminants, less clutter, and a more comfortable living environment for you.

Quick tips to keep your home clean:

  1. Use a mop or microfiber cloth to clean floors and surfaces regularly.
  2. Use a HEPA vaccuum or a vaccuum with a HEPA air filter and vacuum often.
  3. Put doormats inside any doors that lead outside to trap dirt as it comes in.
  4. Take off your shoes as soon as you go inside. Make sure to leave them by the door.
  5. Clean dishes or load them in the dishwasher immediately after use.
  6. Reduce clutter.  You'll realize what is disposable by trying to remove one-third of the items in each room.
