The University of Maryland Extension is providing private pesticide applicator recertification classes for farmers to be held in the lower shore counties this fall. Each 2 hour pesticide training class will be followed by nutrient management voucher training. Voucher training must be acquired by those making nutrient applications to more than 10 acres.
Those individuals who hold a private pesticide applicators license must attend a minimum of one recertification class every 3 years to maintain their certification. There is no cost for this program and it is open to all. Pre-registration is required to ensure enough training materials.
