This webpage offers pesticide information, training, and resources for pesticide applicators. 

Private Applicators
Those who use a restricted use pesticide in the production of an agricultural commodity on their own or leased property. To be certified you must pass a written closed book certifivation with 70% or higher. University of Maryland plans annual training workshops and partners with Maryland Department of Agriculture to administer the exam.

Commercial Applicators
Is any person/business that offers pest control services or is applying general or restricted use pesticides for hire as part of a service or contract agreement.

University of Maryland Extension offers training annually to private and commerical applicators.  Contact your local extension office for more information.
