Welcome KATHY DECKER to Worcester County UME!

Kathy is the new Administrative Assistant II for the Worcester County Extension Office in Snow Hill, MD. Kathy was raised in Salisbury and spent her youth as a member of the Lucky Leaf 4-H club in Wicomico County.  She enjoyed many aspects of 4-H including club leadership, camps, and competing on coutny, regional, and state levels in public speaing, fashion review and more.  She is a graduate of Wicomico Senior High School.

Kathy's work experience includes property management of large high rise condominiums, office manager for general contractors, community Manager for the American Cancer Society, and most recently, Director of Housekeeping for Frontier Town Resort and Campground.

Residing in Worcester County, Kathy has a wonderful family of her husband, 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 3 very spoiled English Springer Spaniels. Kathy greatly enjoys volunteer work and has been active in the past with PTA, served as a Choral Booster, and was past treasurer fo the Eastern Shore Chapter of the Harley Owners Group through which Operation We Care, an organization focused on sending care packages to deployed troops, was born. She continues her support of the American Cancer society primarily through Relay for Life in Worcester County along with volunteering with the United Way of the Lower Shore.

In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, traveling, and bird watching particularly large birds of prey. Kathy looks forward to renewing her passion for the 4-H programs and other Extension initiatives.

Be sure to stop in and welcome her to the UME team!
