MidAtlantic Women In Agriculture will hold their annual Fall Farm Tour on October 9th.  This year’s tour will begin at Fifer’s Orchard in Camden-Wyoming, Delaware.  Fifer’s mission statement is “to grow and sell high quality produce, while preserving the environment, serving the community and maintaining family values.”  We will learn what it takes to run and operate this agritourism business and end our tour by visiting their country store.   Participants will then caravan to Haass’ Butcher Shop.  Haass’ Family Butcher Shop opened in 1955 and this year will celebrate its 55th anniversary!  During our second stop we will get a behind the scenes look at running an “old fashioned” butcher shop.  Lunch will be served at Harvest Ridge Winery, catered by Sisters by Chance Caterers.  Our luncheon speaker will be Jennie Schimdt, aka the Foodie Farmer, speaking on “Opportunities in Ag”.  After lunch, we will tour Harvest Ridge Winery and learn how a hobby that started in the owner’s basement has grown into the winery that we see today.

We hope you join us for what promises to be another great farm tour.  For more information and to register online, visit: or visit our website at:
