Health Rocks! Grants Available

Health Rocks!® is curricula for a healthy living program targeted at young people ages 8 to 14. Health Rocks! helps youth develop life skills in the area of critical thinking, decision-making, communication, managing feelings, stress management and goal setting; in turn building resiliency skills, and promoting the resistance of risky behaviors.

The program focuses on youth-adult partnerships, engaging young people and adults together as teachers within their communities reaching youth for 10 hours of Health Rocks! programming.

If you are interested in program materials, program training, contact Barb Barga (bbarga@umd.edu) or Sandy Corridon (corridon@umd.edu) for information on receiving some financing to support a program in your area, for your camp, afterschool programs or 4-H Club support.

Just to let you know that the Health Rocks! Carnival app is fully functional again after experiencing some technical issues.  Sorry for an inconvenience this may have caused.  You can access it here: http://www.healthrockscarnival.com or http://www.healthrockscarnival.4-h.org.
