Agriculture continues to be the number one industry in Talbot County.  Agriculture is not only a major contributor to the food supply and economy, but provides rural character that residents enjoy.  The Talbot County Corn Club and Soybean Improvement Program are preparing to enter their 63rd and 44th years respectfully.

Talbot Agronomy Program continues to function to help farmers evaluate corn and soybean varieties, weed control and fertility programs as they relate to crop yields.  There are more than 30 farms that participate annually.

This year the banquet will be held on January 15, 2015, beginning at 6:00 pm with a social and dinner at 6:30 pm at the VFW Post 5118, 355 Glebe Road in Easton.  The program will include a crop and weather report, keynote speaker, sponsor awards and yield awards to participants.
