Operation Snowflake is getting Snowed In!
Put on your pj’s, grab a cozy blanket and join us for a fun‐filled day of frozen fun!

This year we are getting Snowed In! We are going to do all the  fun things you do on a snow day!
Come in your pajamas, bring a cozy blanket, and be prepared for a great time! We are going to build a snowman, make cookies, have hot chocolate, do crafts, and so much more!
Please pack a lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The $20 fee is non-refundable. Space is available for the first 15 youth with paid registration.

4-H Winterfare

4-H Winterfare is a one day workshop open to all youth ages 8 and older that allow children the opportunity to choose classes based on their interests. You do not need to be a 4-Her in order to participate.

First Session - 9:30 to 12:00
1A Quilted Potholders: Learn basic sewing techniques making a quilted potholder. Bring scissors,
pins and a needle.
2B Duck Dynasty “Happy , Happy, Happy, it’s Duck Dynasty party time. Join us for “Dynasty” games
and crafts. Have a “Quacking Good Time” Jack!
3C Jewelry Making Learn the art of jewelry making with Inga Hogue from the Salisbury Arts Council.
You will take home a beautiful project.
4D Scientist for a Day! Get your hands wet with wetlands, explore the world of watersheds, and have fun doing it!
5E Bollywood Blast Learn about India and Bollywood. Create a rice art painting. Make carrot pudding
and learn traditional Indian dance.

Lunch - 12 noon to 12:45 pm

Second Session - 12:45 to 2:00 pm
2A Hook, Line and Sinker Fishing is a fun hobby, learn about rods and reels, hooks lures, bait and
how to tie some useful fishing knots
2B Scrapbooking Learn the basics of scrapbooking!
Bring 5-10 pictures to make it special.
2C Roller Coaster Relay Be a theme park engineer!
Learn about the science of roller coasters by designing and building a structure that will compete
for height, speed, and distance.
2D Tasty Tidbits Have fun in the kitchen creating healthy snacks that are easy to make on your own
at home.
2E T-Shirt Art Use your creativity to design an awesome t-shirt to show your 4-H spirit. Specify
t-shirt size below.
2F 3-D Art Make a cool 3-dimensional picture. Bring three 8”x10” photographs of the same picture.

Third Session- 2:05 to 3:20 pm

3A Creating Negative Name Images Make a fun decoration for you room when framed and great craft for entering in the 4-H Fair next October.
3B Flower Arranging Make and take home a beautiful fresh flower arrangement.
3C Nail Care
3D All About Dogs
3E Make it and Take it Make a special gift for Valentines Day. You’ll make soaps and other goodies.
3F DNA Extraction Ever wonder what DNA looks like? Or, even what it is? During this session, learn
about DNA and why its considered the blueprint of life. Then, by using household items, students
will extract and view DNA from plant cells.
