The Frederick County 4-H Shooting Sports Club is holding an air rifle shooting competition on Saturday, June 1st at the 4-H Camp Center on Basford Road. All 4-Hers are welcome to participate. Participants will be divided into 3 age group divisions (8 -10, 11-13, 14-19 yrs). (Sorry no clovers, except the Calico kind!) There are two different shooting classes, Red Ryder and Firepower. The Red Ryder class is for lever action and single pump air rifles under 500 ft/sec. The Firepower Class is for multi-pump air rifles. Participants can shoot in one or both classes. There will also be a longest shot competition for each class. Participants can bring their own air rifles or BB guns or borrow one from the club. NO CO2 or PNEUMATIC AIR RIFLES ARE ALLOWED.

Registration starts at 9 am. Shooting starts at 10 am and will run until everyone is done. Cost per participant is $3 to shoot in one class, $1 to shoot in a second class and $1 to compete in the longest shot competition. Shoot in one event or shoot in them all! All participants must have a parent or guardian present at time of registration. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each age group division in each class.
