Marilyn Sparks
Growing a work of art (container gardens)
Learn the basics of planters from the ground up. Choices of soil mix, container use, and plant material all effect the performance and aesthetics of your planter. Marilyn Sparks will bring you soil recipes, ideas on container choices, and visuals on plant choices as she demonstrates putting some planters together then gives them away as door prizes.

Marilyn Sparks has been is the horticulture industry for over 35 years. She is a manager and business owner at White House Nursery and Fresh Flowers, the flower tent at the MD state fairgrounds. She is a Certified Professional Horticulturist, a garden club member, and a leader of the Hereford Jr Farm Fair a free local community agricultural event.
