The Wood Duck had often been called the most beautiful of all waterfowl because of its respledent plumage. Strict laws and prudent conservation management practices have brought it back from the brink of extinction. This fact sheet details the appearance, behavior, and habitat of the wood duck as well as explains some techniques to manage the species.
