Tree Swallow

The tree swallow is one of the most acrobatic songbirds in Maryland. This fork-tailed bird is an adept flyer and talented hunter of flying insect pests. Along with bats, bluebirds, and purple martins, they can play an important role in an integrated pest management strategy for controlling many farm and garden pests.
