Livestock Judging

2020 4-H Livestock Judging Information

Evaluation of livestock is an exciting and thought provoking experience. The ultimate goal of livestock judging is to compare your perception of an animal against the IDEAL to evaluate a class of four animals.  Howard County 4-H offers 4-H members the opportunity to learn to judge beef, sheep, swine and goats through this program.  The judging "season" begins in early spring and goes through the summer.

The Howard County 4-H Livestock Judging Orientation will be scheduled for sometime in May and will be announced as soon as the date is finalized.

Please be sure to read the Team Eligibility Criteria Information Sheet for information regarding scoring and team selection.
