Our Programs

We offer equine educational programs throughout the year, primarily focused on Pasture Management and Equine Nutrition. See our event calendar to the right of this page for details about upcoming programs. Printed and electronic resources are also available for each topic area. Click each topic area for more details.

Pasture Management

Multiple events are held throughout the spring, summer, and fall to address issues of pasture management like rotational grazing, weed control, renovating poor performing pasture, and more.  We also have a variety of printed and online resources available.

Nutrition and Feeding

Each year, University of Maryland Extension hosts the Mid-Atlantic Nutrition Conference, recognized as a premier educational event for the animal nutrition industry. Local, national, and international nutritionists share new, innovative, and practical research being conducted at universities, in industry, and at government institutions. Regulatory issues and future opportunities are discussed. The program is focused on poultry, dairy, and equine nutrition. This program is presented each year in the spring.

Printed and online resources are also available.
