  • King Farm Community Garden - Ridgemont and Grand Champion Drive.
    39 garden plots (20' x 15'), onsite water. Annual fee $50.00 for new gardeners and $35 for returning gardeners. All gardeners must participate in the maintenance of the common areas of the garden. There is a waiting list for plots.   • Watkins Pond Community Garden - organic vegetable gardening for adults and children.
    22 (15x20' plots), annual fee $50.00. One garden plot is dedicated to children between the ages of 4 - 13 with a limit of ten children and a $10 fee per child. Parents of children will need to participate, but do not need to have a plot in WPCG in order to have their children involved. WPCG is located on the southern border of King Farm.   • Winkler Gardens - a community based garden that is cultivated and cared for by the collective effort of neighborhood families. Garden plots are rented for growing flowers, vegetables, and fruits.  Plots are leased on a yearly basis and membership is open to local residents of the Chevy Chase, Silver Spring and Kensington area.  Contact: Jacob Kirk (8728 Susanna Lane, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.)
  • Wootton’s Mill Park
    Hurley Avenue, Rockvillle
    Operated by the City of Rockville, there are 177 plots including one raised plot that is handicap accessible.  The program runs from April 1 through November.

  • Bradley Park Community Garden
    8701 Hartsdale Ave., Bethesda
    Offers 21 plots. Each plot is 200 square ft. Water and deer fencing will be available.
  • Briggs Chaney Community Garden
    2161 Briggs Chaney Rd, Silver Spring
    Offers over 118 plots. Most plots are 625 sq. ft. Water, deer fencing and seating are available. 
  • Fenton Street Local Park
    7904 Fenton St., Silver Spring
    Offers 42 plots. Each plot is either 200 or 400 sq. ft.  Water and deer fencing are available.
  • Gaynor Road Community Garden
    4601 Gaynor Road Rockville, MD 20852
    Offers 27 plots. Three plots are 300 sq. feet and the remainder are 400 sq. feet.  Water and deer fencing are available.
  • King Street Garden
    7980 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring. Offers 27 plots. Each plot is 200 square feet. 
    Water and deer fencing are available. 
  • Long Branch Community Recreation Center
    8700 Piney Branch Rd Silver Spring.
    The garden is located on the upper field behind the Piney Branch Community Recreation Center. Offers 16 plots. All plots are 200 square feet. Water and Deer Fencing are available.
  • Parklawn Community Garden
    12718 Viers Mill Rd, Rockville. Offers 40 plots. Each plot is 400 square feet.
    Water, fencing, shelter and playground are available.
  • Rocking Horse Center
    4920 Macon Rd, Rockville. This garden is not on Park land, but on a MCPS property. Offers 60 plots as a partnership between MCPS and Parks. Each plot is either 200 or 400 square feet.
    Water, seating and deer fencing are available.
  • Sligo Mill Overlook Community Garden
    Orchard and 5th Avenue, Takoma Park. 34 Plots Available. Each plot is either 200 or 400 square feet. 
    Water. deer fencing and seating are available.
  • South Germantown Recreational Park
    18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds
    Offers 72 plots. 50 plots are 400 square feet, and 22 plots are 200 square feet. Water and deer fencing are available.
