    Member run cooperative, open to students, and ideal for seniors
    The Garden is ran by clients from the Glenwood Methadone clinic

  • To find or start a new community garden contact Baltimore City Master Gardeners at or the Urban Agriculture department at the University of Maryland Extension Baltimore City 410.856.1850.

  • To rent a plot in a City Farms garden located within city parks: Contact Sara Murphy (, 410-396-4850), coordinator of the City Farms program, Dept. of Recreation and Parks. Most plots offer about 150 square feet of gardening space and rent for $30-$50 per year, depending on location.  There are community gardens located in 11 parks. 

  • Baltimore Green Space - Baltimore Green Space partners with communities to preserve and support community gardens, forest patches, pocket parks, and other open spaces managed by city residents. Members work together and harvest together, and eat together at least once a season.   • Brooklyn Greenhouse Comunity Gardens - We have garden plots available and all are welcome.  Our plots are 4' x 20'.  Fee is 1 hour of Community Clean per every 60 days. Contact Dwayne Cousar at or 443-714-0155. Brooklyn Greenhouse Community Facebook page.

  • Cole Street Community Garden. Contact Nancy McCormick 410-294-1593. Located in a five lot plot, there are various size garden beds.  The fee is $20 per plot which is used to pay for the $120 water fee.  Find them on Facebook under Cole Street Community Garden.
  • Filbert Street Garden - 1317 Filbert Street. Garden plots, raised beds $20 each; security fee $15; large plots $35.  For mor information contact Rodette Jones (manager)  We look forward to gardening with you.

  • Rose Street Community Garden - 600 block of N. Rose Street, organized by Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Raised beds available for adoption. 13 short beds ( 4' x 4'), and 7 long beds (3' x 6').  Contact Jennifer Kunze at or 410-563-9743. Adopting a raised bed for the season is free.
