Description/Notes:

The distinctive "bob-white" call of the northern bobwhite is a sound that many landowners, birders, and hunters love to hear. Unfortunately, bobwhite quail populations have declined by over 90% in the Mid-Atlantic region in the last half century. Many other species that share similar habitats, ranging from songbirds to pollinators, are decreasing as well.

In this webinar, Bob Long, Wild Turkey and Upland Game Bird Project Manager for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife and Heritage Service, will discuss the biology and habitat requirements of quail, factors that caused the decline, and what landowners can do to help reverse the trend.

This webinar is free, but registration is required. For more information and to register, visit the Eventbrite link below.
