Are you thinking about raising your own flock of chickens?  Did you buy some fuzzy little chicks and are not quite sure how to raise them?  The University of Maryland Extension is here to help!

Join us for a free morning workshop to learn how to properly care for and raise your birds.

The class will cover:

  • Introductory case and feeding of backyard poultry
  • Disease prevention and what symptoms to watch for
  • Local rules and regulations for keeping poultry, with a focus on Baltimore City
  • Tour Great Kids' Farm's small flock
