LEAD INSTRUCTOR is Devin Floyd, Center for Urban Habitats, with additional instruction by David Hirschman of Hirschman Water and Environment LLC.

This class covers site assessments, research, and the creation of species lists and installation plans for native assemblages of plants. Workshop includes on-site walk to natural reference habitats and native plant installations. Participants will also work in small groups on conceptual practices.

SPONSORED by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) Habitat Partners© Program. DGIF is an organizational member of CCLC and a Consortium Partner of CBLP.  By attending this workshop, participants will understand how design choices can support greater habitat value for wildlife and biodiversity through the use of appropriately selected native plants.
