Eastern Shore Master Gardeners are offering a ‘Spring into Spring’ program at the Higher Education Building on the Chesapeake College Campus on Wednesday, March 21st. A full day of horticultural topics to get even the novice gardener ready for the growing season. The program includes:

  • "What's New with Magnolias and Hydrangeas?" with Scott Aker, Head of Horticulture and Education at the U.S. National Arboretum
  • "Orchids 101" with Roger Cole of Arbec Orchids
  • "Irises" with Pat McNeal, known as the "Iris Lady" who has been growing irises for 40+ years
  • "Design a Potager" with Cynthia (Cindy) Brown
  • "Mushroom Cultivation" with Nevin Dawson, University of Maryland Extension Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator

Tickets are $10 for Master Gardeners and $15 for the general public and can be purchased online: a full program description and tickets can be purchased here.
