Learn how to safely preserve summer bounty at home while enjoying the fresh flavors of home cooked food. University of Maryland Wicomico county is introducing three food preservation workshops on canning, drying, fermentation, freezing, and pickling. The workshop includes hands-on experience of different preservation methods with a product to take home.
You can also buy So Easy to Preserve book illustrating all scientific methods of preservation and wonderful recipes.

The workshop is for anyone over age 18. However, kids (12yrs. and above) can attend the workshop with their parents or caretakers.

May 21st- Home Canning Jams, from 5.30pm-8.30pm, Cost: $20/person

May 24th- Drying herbs and freezing produce, from 5.30pm-8.30pm,  Cost: $20/person

May 29th- Preserving pickles with fermentation and canning, from 5.30pm-8.30pm,  Cost:  20/person

All three workshops discount- $55
