If you are currently growing vegetables or considering it as a future crop, plan to attend the Vegetable Twilight Tour. For questions call Ben Beale at 301-475-4481 or email bbeale@umd.edu

The first vegetable twilight tour was held at the Russell Stauffer farm in 2006. After 13 years and 13 different farms we will once again return to the Stauffer operation. This is a diversified vegetable operation with tomato, watermelon, pumpkins, peppers, cantaloupe and other minor crops. This will be an informal tour, with plenty of opportunity to discuss your vegetable questions with other growers. Handouts and other brochures will be available.

Information will be presented by University of Maryland Extension Specialists and Agents.

Directions: Take Rt. 5 south toward Leonardtown. Continue on Route 5 to the town of Loveville. Take a right on Pincushion Rd. (If you pass Stauffer’s Feed Mill you have gone too far) Proceed 1/3 mile to farm on right. Look for a sign by the driveway.
